OVERVIEW
Welcome to the Made In The Bahamas Certification Mark Design Contest brought to you by the Bahamas Bureau of Standards and Quality. Complete the online registration form, and upload your design in the specified format.
The entry must adhere to the design rules and terms and conditions.
Submissions should include a brief description explaining the designer's concept and how it represents the Bahamas.
The deadline for submissions will be June 21, 2024, by midnight.
GUIDELINES
Eligibility: Open to all Bahamian citizens and residents.
Theme: Designs should reflect Bahamian identity, culture, and values.
Submission Format: Digital designs preferably vector format (optional JPEG/PNG format, high resolution).
Entry Limit: Multiple submissions allowed per participant.
Criteria: Originality, relevance to theme, visual appeal, and adaptability across various media.
Submission Portal: A dedicated website for contest information, submissions, and updates.
Deadline: A clear cut-off date and time for submissions.
Judging: The Bahamas Bureau of Standards and Quality will select the top five certification mark designs that will next be judged by the National Forum to select the winner.
Grand Prize: $750 to the winner of the winning certification mark design.
Rights: Designs become the property of the BBSQ, with credit to the designer.
CONTEST RULES
• Open to Bahamian citizens and residency.
• One design per submission, per participant. Multiple entries allowed.
• Digital submissions in vector formats preferred. JPEG/PNG, high resolution allowed.
• Designs must be simple and reflect Bahamian culture. Refer to Creative Design Brief.
• Deadline for submission is June 21, 2024, before midnight.
• The BBSQ will select the top five (5) finalist and the National Forum will select the winner.
• The winner must provide proof of citizenship or residents.
• The winner grants the rights for their design to be used as the official certification mark.
• The BBSQ reserves the right to modify the winning design for final use.
CONTEST DESIGN BRIEF
DESIGN OVERVIEW
You are invited to create a design symbolizing Bahamian pride, culture, and quality. It should be visually compelling, easily recognizable, and adaptable across various media. The design must be original, simple and encapsulate the essence of the Bahamas and its values, reflecting the theme "Your Voice, Our Future." Submissions will be judged on originality, relevance to theme, and visual impact. This contest is a chance for Bahamians to contribute a lasting symbol of national excellence.
DESIGN OBJECTIVES
Design a captivating Certification Mark that represents the highest standards of Bahamian-made products. This mark will be used as a stamp of approval on products and services that successfully complete the Made In The Bahamas certification program. This mark will be seen globally and become a symbol of our nation’s standards.
KEY MESSAGE
"Made In The Bahamas"
must be included in the design of the Certification Mark.
TONE
Inspirational and patriotic, with an emphasis on community and national pride.
